Solar approvals in Gujarat: the complete checklist & timeline
Every agency, every fee, every deadline — in the order they actually happen.
Approvals are roughly 30–40% of a solar project’s timeline, and a single missed deadline can forfeit your bank guarantee. This is the full Gujarat checklist, in sequence, with the fees and timelines from official sources.

The checklist
Sequence and run these in parallel where possible — that is how the timeline is protected.
- GEDA RE portal access ₹10,000 + provisional registration ₹10,000 (+GST)
- GETCO connectivity — two-stage; Stage-II auto-revoked if not closed in 65 days
- GEDA final registration ₹26,000/MW (+GST), enabled after GETCO/DISCOM feasibility
- Scheme/PPA — DREBP (₹2.76/unit, PBG ₹10 lakh/MW) or GUVNL bid
- CEIG drawing approval + charging inspection (>100 kW; ~30 days; no fee)
- GPCB — White Category, exempt from CTE/CTO (self-declaration only)
- GEDA-witnessed commissioning → certificate within 15 days (₹10,000/MW/yr +GST)
